20th century farm house extension

Situated in Nettleham Lincolnshire, this farm house was extended around the south, east and western sides of the property. the roof structure was constructed from soft wood. It featured a pitched roof inter linking with a flat roof all supported with king post and lattice trusses.

Stainless steel plates were bolted to lattes trusses to join the structure together. The flat roof was constructed from the same timber as the trusses and had on-site manufactured tongue and groove boarding tixed on top.

The same soft wood was also used to construct the rafters and purlins.
